After-School STEM 301 & 302 with Mr Bob

After-School STEM 301 & 302 with Mr Bob is designed for sixth year students   We will build on the foundation of our previous STEM experience.  We will focus on coding and programming skills using the Hopscotch App and Swift playgrounds on iPad. We will also focus on advanced test taking skills, have fun advanced tips and tricks working with stop-motion, green-screen, iMovie, iBooks and more. When/If we are in the classroom, we will have engineering exercises and challenges using the new Engino Discovering STEM Construction kits (shown below).

Through the power of code we will program Mambo mini drones to maneuver, transport items through the air, and even take pictures from the air.

Sphero SPK + 

Students will use the visual block-based building interface to learn the basic principles of programming using SPRK+ from Sphero.  Designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through coding, the SPRK + makes learning approachable and fun -- it is far more than just a robot.

engino discovering stem kit

The Engino Discovering STEM Kit covers a broad area of subjects: Mechanics and Simple machines, Structures, Newton’s Laws, Renewable Energy and even Programmable Robotics. The kits allow students to discover scientific notions while experimenting with models providing a fun and comprehensive experience.
