After-School STEM 101 with Mr Bob

After-School STEM 101 with Mr Bob enrollment is now open to any 3rd year student or any 4th year student who has not completed STEM 101.

After-School STEM 101 with Mr Bob is designed to complement the classroom curriculum.  We will focus on movie making, green screen, stop-motion, picture editing and presentations. When in the classroom, we will also concentrate on engineering and robotics through the use of Lego and various an engineering challenges. Other activities include honing test taking skills, having fun with pixel art, enjoying moments of science, solving problems and puzzles, creating iBooks with the iPad and more.

As always, all activities in After-School STEM with Mr Bob remain distinct from classroom activities. Below are examples of the tools previously used in the STEM 101 classroom.

Through the power of code we will program Mambo mini drones to maneuver, transport items through the air, and even take pictures from the air.

Sphero SPRK+

Students will use the visual block-based building interface to learn the basic principles of programming using SPRK+ from Sphero.  Designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through coding, the SPRK + makes learning approachable and fun -- it is far more than just a robot.
